Municipal Law Attorney
Downtown Los Angeles law firm serving public agency clients seeks transactional attorney with a minimum of five years’ experience in municipal law. Legal experience should include the areas of land use and zoning, including the California Environmental Quality Act, municipal code compliance and enforcement, conflict of interest and ethics, public bidding, the Brown Act and Public Records Act, and Proposition 218.
Attorney shall work closely with public agency staff, draft and review resolutions, ordinances, contracts and other transactional documents, perform legal research on a range of public law topics, and prepare legal memoranda advising clients. Candidates must possess excellent research, writing, organizational, and communication skills. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work both cooperatively with others and independently, as circumstances demand, and must show a strong ability to take initiative and problem solve.
Salary and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with level of experience and demonstrated accomplishments.
