Mrs. Altamirano’s practice is concentrated primarily in the areas of Municipal Law, Government Law, Education Law, Labor and Employment Law, Land Use and Environmental Law. She currently serves as the City Attorney for the City of La Puente, Interim City Attorney for the City of South El Monte, Assistant City Attorney for Santa Fe Springs, Assistant City Attorney for the City of Bell Gardens, and Deputy City Attorney for El Monte, Cudahy and San Fernando. She also serves as special counsel to other municipal and private clients, advising on issues including the Political Reform Act, Brown Act, election law, the Public Records Act and public works projects, among others.
Prior to joining OMLO, Mrs. Altamirano owned and operate a political consulting firm, where she advised political candidates at the local, state, and national levels.
