OMLO seeks a full-time experienced transactional attorney with 3 or more years of relevant work experience in the areas of community development, Redevelopment Dissolution, affordable housing, and related financing. Experience in the areas of land use and zoning and the California Environmental Quality Act are strongly preferred.

The successful candidate must have the ability to work closely with public agency staff to review, edit and draft transactional documents, prepare analysis and strategies in connection with the same and interface with regulators, developers and elected officials. The successful candidate must also possess excellent research, writing, organizational, and communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work both cooperatively and independently, as circumstances demand.

Salary and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with level of experience and demonstrated accomplishments. The ideal candidate should be able to commute/travel occasionally to and from the San Gabriel Valley and the Inland Empire, this position is open to candidates in the Northern California area.

OMLO is seeking a California licensed attorney with a minimum of four years’ experience in education law to join our team. Legal experience should include public sector legal issues (public meetings, public records) and some labor and employment experience (employee discipline, labor relations), administrative hearing experience a plus. Candidates must possess excellent research, writing, organizational, and communication skills. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work both cooperatively with others and independently, as circumstances demand, and must show a strong ability to take initiative, problem solve, and follow through on projects.

OMLO is seeking a 2–5-year Special Education lawyer well-versed in Special Education and Student Services for school districts. Must have experience attending IEP meetings on behalf of clients, discipline law and experience with due process complaints. Candidates must possess excellent research, writing, organizational, and communication skills. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work both cooperatively with others and independently, as circumstances demand, and must show a strong ability to take initiative, problem solve, and follow through on projects. This is a client-facing role that will involve a lot of client interaction.

OMLO seeks a mid-level (3-4 years) public law lawyer/litigator. Duties will include working closely with public agency clients, reviewing and drafting contracts in all areas, handling daily municipal law questions, assisting with drafting council meeting agendas and opinion memoranda. Attorney will work in a fast paced, but exciting environment and deal with the City Manager’s office and staff. Must have excellent research and writing skills, organizational skills, communication skills and knowledge of Brown Act. Prior experience in employment and civil rights matters a plus.
