The City of Los Angeles hosted the first-ever Pride parade in 1970, and in the decades that have followed, tremendous strides have been made to advance the fight for equality. We are grateful to the tireless individuals who have been at the forefront of activism and achievement, helping California blaze a trail for LGBTQ+ rights. However, we recognize that there is still much work to be done to prevent the discrimination and injustice that the LGBTQ+ community continues to endure today.
