Olivarez Madruga Law Organization congratulates partner Susie Altamirano on her appointment to the League of California Cities (Cal Cities) City Attorneys Department Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Committee for the next two years. The committee is made up of municipal attorneys from across California, who regularly navigate and interpret the Political Reform Act, and act as liaisons between local governments and the Fair Political Practices Commission.
The city attorneys making up the committee strive to provide expertise and guidance to help improve and develop the Political Reform Act, with key responsibilities including shaping policy and ensuring amendments are plausible at the local level, spotlighting potential city concerns of administrative policies, and providing legal advice through updating municipal publications and guiding city attorneys.
As a committee member, Susie will support city attorneys throughout California and progress the work of the City Attorney’s Department, as well as support and advance OMLO’s goals through closer work with FPPC regulation matters.
