Samuel Holmberg is an Associate with Olivarez Madruga Law Organization, LLP, serving as part of the Municipal Practice Group. Mr. Holmberg earned his Juris Doctor from LMU Loyola Law School, and his bachelor’s degree from Skidmore College.
During law school, Mr. Holmberg gained valuable experience in a variety of legal positions. As a judicial extern for the Honorable John L. Segal at the California Court of Appeal, Second District, he analyzed complex legal issues, helped prepare judicial opinions, and participated in weekly chamber meetings. Demonstrating his commitment to public service, Mr. Holmberg worked at the Shriver Landlord-Tenant Clinic at Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County, where he helped low-income clients navigate housing law and avoid evictions. He also served as a legal extern for Los Angeles Waterkeeper, supporting the organization’s mission to protect water quality and restore vital habitats throughout the Los Angeles Basin.
After graduating from Loyola Law School, Mr. Holmberg joined Kaufman Legal Group, where he assisted clients with election law, campaign finance, and government ethics matters.
Before law school, Mr. Holmberg worked in the Washington, D.C. offices of Congressman David Trone and Congresswoman Susan Davis, where he assisted with constituent services and legislative research. He also worked as a fellow for Loraine Lundquist’s 2020 Los Angeles City Council campaign, coordinating volunteer efforts and supporting campaign communications.
When not practicing law, Mr. Holmberg can be found hiking, surfing, birdwatching, and baking bread.
