Tyler Rivera is an Associate with Olivarez Madruga Law Organization as a part of the Litigation Practice Group. Tyler has prior experience representing local public agencies and school districts in employment, regulatory, and education matters. He has represented school districts in administrative matters with the EEOC and California Civil Rights Department. Tyler worked extensively with a high-profile law enforcement oversight commission in California as general counsel. He also has experience handling health insurance claim litigation matters.
While in law school, Tyler interned at nonprofit immigration legal services clinics in Los Angeles, CA and Fort Worth, TX, providing direct services to clients in matters involving asylum, DACA, and U-Visas. Tyler also served as a Co-Chair of the Latinx Law Students Association and as a Chief Managing Editor of the Chicanx-Latinx Law Review.
Tyler is eager to work with clients in obtaining favorable and just decisions in litigation. Outside of his legal practice, he is an avid gymgoer and health nut, and an amateur fashionista and vocalist.
