Olivarez Madruga Law Organization LLP’s Managing Partners Rick Olivarez and Thomas Madruga recently attended the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s (CHCI) 49th Annual Awards Gala in Washington, DC. The annual event, taking place during Hispanic Heritage Month, united the nation’s most influential voices and celebrated the achievements, cultural contributions, and rich history of the Latino community, as well as this year’s Congressional interns.
The gala also recognized several notable leaders for their impactful work and contributions to the Latino community. OMLO extends its congratulations to all of this year’s honorees and celebrates their excellence, incredible achievements, and historic milestones.
Rick has been a long-standing member of CHCI, and in January of 2026 he was appointed to the organization’s Board of Directors for the 2026 – 2027 term. He previously served on CHCI’s Advisory Council. The organization has a strong connection to Rick’s family, as Rick’s grandfather, Edward R. Roybal, was among the founding members in 1978.
CHCI is a non-profit, non-partisan organization committed to empowering, educating, and connecting Latino youth through leadership training and professional development, and it offers a highly regarded congressional internship program.
